Commission: KING KONG and FRANKENSTEIN by DaiKamonohashi Commission: KING KONG and FRANKENSTEIN by DaiKamonohashi
A commission I did for one of the fine, fine denizens of the SciFi Japan/Club Tokyo-o0o-Monster Zero forums, depicting either King Kong versus Frankenstein or Kong and Frankenstein teamed up against the JSDF, depending on how you'd like to look at it. :)

Awesome! Kong would SO win this battle! Just the fact of a gorilla going up against a person basically shows you that there is no competiton in this fight. However, i dont think fighting with a woman in your fist is a very effective means of combat lol. Really awesome job :)

On the other hand, Toho's Frankenstein managed to take on Baragon and was practically immortal. I don't think the victory is so certain!

Yeah but Baragon is an easy kaiju to defeat lol. I never saw the movie so i dont know how he fought. But this fight is like the equilvalent of a steroid induced person going up against a gorilla. The only hindering factor here is that Kong is going to hold that woman in his fists the entire time and protect her. How hard is it to kill a reanimated corpse lol? How did a reanimated corpse get that big anyway? o_O

Baragon was a pretty tough cookie in Frankenstein Vs. Baragon. He was somewhat de-powered for GMK.

Watch it some time. It's easily one of my top five Toho films.

Really? Thats good to hear. Its hard to believe he went from eating people to becoming a gentle earth defender lol. Didnt Frank beat him really badly though?

So the movie is that good uh? I may watch it one of these days. How did a reanimated human corpse get that big though? Thats the only thing i dont get.

It was a pretty even match. Remember, classic Baragon had a heat ray! And, yes, the movie is fantastic. There is an oil field destruction scene early in the film that is simply one of the best things Tsuburaya ever committed to celluloid. Definitely check it out ASAP.

Also, Hiroshima.

Really? Wow thats something. I would have thought Baragon would have been another beat stick. He also had a heat ray too? I wonder why they changed him to a lightning based kaiju? Which quality do you think fits Baragon best? Heat or Lightning? I'll make sure to check it out then.

Hiroshima made that version of Frank? Makes sense. I forgot about that. Man Marry Shelly would sure be pissed if she was alive lol

Very cool, I'd love to see them in a comic. Nice job, should we be looking forward to a colored version?
