"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey, all! I'm currently offering 9x12", single character (preferably kaiju!) watercolor sketches for $50 apiece including shipping! I am also open to more complex pieces if you want to chat about something along those lines. Shoot me a message and we'll talk!
Just a friendly reminder that I am still open for commissions! While I mostly draw monsters lately, I'm pretty flexible with subject matter. Kind of in a tight spot with the monies right now so any business is majorly appreciated!
This past summer I was contracted to build miniature spaceships and a space station for an indie science fiction feature. The process never got past the concept art stage as I was ultimately Jurassic Park'd (my job was replaced by CGI) and re-contracted to build a number of hand-held props for the film instead. That said, I wanted to share this piece of concept art for the space station that I'm especially proud of. Would have been a lot of fun to build this thing and maybe I can work it into one of my own films in the future. Drew a lot of inspiration from the watercolor concept designs of Yasuyuki Inoue for this piece. For those that don't know, Inoue was the head of Toho's Art Department (BEST DEPARTMENT!) during their Golden Age and was thus responsible for the look and feel for a ton of the special effects/fantasy films that we all know and love so dearly. Definitely Google his work if you've never seen it before!
